Dreamy Dice Commission Form
Hello and welcome to my commission information page!
For those unfamiliar, commissions are custom orders where I personally work with you to bring your vision of dice to life! However, because these are custom orders, there are
some guidelines to follow.
First, please consider my previous work and style when deciding to work with me on a commission. All artists are different, and while I enjoy experimenting and learning new techniques, I tend to specialize in cloud, decorated, geode, planet, and recently, liquid core dice. This does not mean they are the only dice or styles I'm willing to do, but by keeping in mind my existing portfolio when selecting me for custom work, I can make you the highest quality dice possible.
Second, please do NOT ask me to replicate any other artist's work. I am happy to replicate my own designs, or to look at other artists for examples or inspiration, but I will never copy or remake another artist's design.
Third, please remember that my work is all completely handmade by me, and while I will do my best to bring your vision to life, there is no way for me to make an exact replica, even of my previous designs. All handmade items are going to vary to some degree, and I may not be able to meet the exact vision you have in your mind. If you expect your commission to be extremely precise in regards to color matching or design matching, I kindly ask you to find an artist more experienced in that process.
Finally, I do reserve the right to my designs. Unless it is discussed as part of the commission process, I may remake or take inspiration from commissioned dice I have made. Additionally, any versions of the commission that were not approved of (such as a first casting where changes were requested) are owned by me, and I do retain the right to finish and sell those dice separately. If a commissioner backs out of the commission request or fails to pay the remaining fees for their custom order, I also reserve the right to sell that work.
So, what is the process and cost like?
When commissions are available, I will have a Google Form (which will be listed on my LinkTree here) to fill out. I will only open a certain number of commission slots, and when that number is met, the form will automatically close. If you are unable to see the form, it means I am either not accepting commissions at that time or all of the slots have been filled.
After I read the submissions, I will message each commissioner through their preferred contact method (either through Instagram or social media), and we will work together on the custom design. Once work is accepted, a custom listing will appear on my website for a deposit, and then work on the commission will begin. The deposit will be 50% of the total price of the commission. Estimate commission costs are as follows:
35mm d20 - start at $90, deposit of $45
40mm d20 - start at $100, deposit of $50
Standard full set - start at $150, deposit of $75
Standard "show off" set - start at $180, deposit $90
Elongated "show off" set - start at $200, deposit $100
60mm d20 - start at $200, deposit $100
Costs will vary depending on design complexity and materials. For example, 60mm d20s start at $200 for a basic design, but would start at $250 for a liquid core design with a deposit of $125. Any materials that I do not already possess and would be required to purchase, such as a specific 3d print or inclusions like feathers, flowers, bones, etc, will be added to the commission cost. I do not own a 3d printer and do not accept commissions that require creating a 3d model or print.
Once work has begun on a design, the deposit is non-refundable
When the work is completed, the remaining payment and shipping fees will be due before the dice are shipped off to you! For example, if you bought the 60mm liquid core we used as an example above, then the remaining $125 and $8 for shipping will be due. Then, your custom dice will be on the way to you!
Every commission is given one free "re-do" to adjust details to your liking. After the second casting attempt, further re-dos will come at a fee of approximately $5-10 for single d20s or $10-15 for full sets. There will be no cost for re-do's done because of maker error (basically if I make a mistake, don't worry, that's on me). If several attempts are made and you are not satisfied with any of the designs, we may have to re-discuss the commission viability. If both the commissioner and I are unable to resolve the design issues, I reserve the right to cancel the commission request. Again, deposits are nonrefundable as they cover the initial cost of materials and time already used. If the commission cancellation is 100% my fault, then this will be the only exception to the nonrefundable deposit.
Again, you can find the Google Form linked HERE, if it is not currently listed, commissions are closed.
Commissions are estimated to take approximately 2-4 weeks for a d20 or 4-6 weeks for a full set. These are generous estimations, I expect most commissions will not take the full time, but some may take longer depending on complexity and the communication process.
